Happy 1st Birthday Magtaf "Something Caribbean" -litter

It's been a great first year for Magtaf-puppies: 2 x BIS-puppy, 2 x GROUP 1st-puppy, 5 x BOB-puppy, 2 x BOS-puppy, 2 x Est Junior CAC, very promising coursing performances, nice placements in junior classes, very promising renovation skills for example holes in concrete walls, few shoes, coffee tables, couches, cables... But icing on the cake was a comment form my mom: Donna has brought so much joy into their lives that she has given them few extra years <3

It's been awhile so lots have happened :) 

At WDS (World Dog Show) in Helsinki all we got was experience and a pleasure to meet some nice people and beautiful dogs but here's few photos of us:

A week ago Aslan was BOB puppy in all breed show at Porvoo where whippets were judged by Säde Hohteri and that was last time they were able to enter puppy class. Congrats Aslan & Maiju!!!

So on Sunday Karo & Greta started their official career in Tampere group show where Karo got Excellent and Greta Very Good. We were happy with the results as we knew the judge was not the best possible for them. We were just too eager to start the show career and there's not many shows left for this year!

Taffy is now INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION

We visited Sweden last weekend and Taffy won her last CACIB for C.I.B title being Best Bitch 2nd under judge Anette Edlander, Sweden. I never thought this would happen after she broke a tendon from her front toe but it did and I'm so happy! She really is a dream come true dog for me. I was hoping we could do some more coursing after finishing her active show career but that door is closed for good so we'll just enjoy our everyday life and show for fun occasionally. Thank you Taffy for giving me so many nice moments in the ring <3 And many thanks to Debbie Butt and Amanda Giles for letting me have this precious girl.

Next generation did well too as Juliet continued being BOB-puppy both days at Sawo Show in Kuopio.

Enzo & Juliet - stars of this weekend!

On Saturday Enzo was 3rd out of ten male puppies at Swedish Whippet Club Specialty in Tammsvik, Sweden. Here is his nice critique:

On Sunday Juliet was BOB-puppy in Helsinki all breed show under judge Hana Petrusova, CZ

WAY TO GO KIDS! 

Kartano Weekend Sighthound Specialty 19.7.2014

The only show we entered this month was the Kartano Weekend Sighthound Specialty where 80 Whippets were judged by breed specialist Monika Tauraseviciene (Whippest Romantika). It was a super day for us as baby Greta went all the way to BIS-puppy!!! Mama-Taffy was 2nd Best Bitch and won the champion class. Karo was 2nd Best Male puppy and Aslan was third, both boys with prize of honors and Jenny-Carla was third in bitches.

"7 months. Feminine. Very beautiful head. Long elegant neck. Very well developed for age. Excellent ribcage. Excellent top- & underline. Enough angulated quarters. Free movement. Very well presented."

Aslan GROUP 1st at all breed puppy show!

Aslan went all the way to group first at all breed puppy show in Luumäki 12.7.2014. Judge was Eeva Resko. We are so proud of him and Maiju :) Well done team Aslan!

"Erittäin hyväntyyppinen urospentu. Kaunis pää, alaleuka voisi olla aavistuksen voimakkaampi. Erinomainen ylälinja, olkavarsi voisi olla hieman viistompi. Hyvä luusto. Hyvin kulmautunut takaosa. Liikkuu ja esiintyy hyvin."
